DME LECTURE
Dr. Hasan Tahir, Consultant
Rheumatologist, Whipps Cross University Hospital, London,UK, delivered a talk on
" Update on Cox Inhibitors" on 10th May in Seminar hall. Faculty members,
Hospital doctors and students attended the lecture.
"TEACHING METHODOLOGIES" WORKSHOP
Department of
Medical Education held a workshop on "Teaching Methodologies" for the lecturers
of Ayub Medical College from 7-8th February'2007. Lecturers from various
departments attended the two day event. Prof. Abdul Rashid, Principal honoured
the participants with certificate of attendance. DME will be organizing similar
events in future as well, Inshallah.

HOSPITAL CLINICAL MEETING
Hospital clinical meeting is held on fortnightly basis(1st and 16th of every month) in the Seminar hall from 8.00 am to 9.00 am. All specialities shall be presenting as per time table. Students free during the hour are welcome.
CPSP Workshop
College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan has accredited some Departments of Ayub Medical College and Ayub Teaching Hospital for Fellowship training. The departments include Haematology, Clinical Pathology, Chemical Pathology, Histoathology, General Medicine and Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Paediatrics, Eye, ENT, Gynaecology & Obstetrics etc.
CPSP has setup a Regional Centre at Ayub Medical College which is actively involved in high quality academic activities. CPSP is holding regular Workshops and Seminars at Regional Centre as a part of Fellowship training to the students. Recently a Workshop on use of Computers for literature search and research and data analysis was conducted by the CPSP. Quite a large number of postgraduate students participated in the workshop.
A.L.A.F.
The acronym for Ayubian Literary and Art Forum, ALAF looks after all sorts of student activities under this domain. Besides publishing the college student magazine, 'Karakoram', it organizes debates, quizzes, cultural shows, theatrical performances, seminars on important issues, exhibitions of talented students' works, etc.
ALAF is managed and run entirely by students, with the guidance of faculty members as desired.
