A three-day annual book fair was organised in Ayub Medical College.
The book fair was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq and Dean Ayub Medical College and CEO Ayub Teaching Hospital Prof. Dr. Umar Farooq.
Vice-Chancellor Khyber Medical University and Dean, AMC visited all the stalls set up in the book fair and expressed their interest in various books.
A three-days annual book fair organized by Islamic Jamiat students. . According to Nazeem-e-Islami Jamiat Talaba, the aim of the book fair was to provide medical books to medical students at low cost.
Other faculty members of the college also visited the book fair in large numbers and inspected the books.
Dean Ayub Medical College Professor Dr. Umar Farooq appreciated the efforts of Islamic Jamiat students. He said that in the modern era, the interest in reading books is disappearing, but reading books is very important for students related to the medical field. In this regard, Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University said that the book fair will strengthen the habit of reading among young students. Book friendship is the best form of worship, which increases the knowledge and consciousness of a person. He further said that the study of every field has become indispensable for us. Books based on human history, science and other sciences broaden our thinking. Vice-Chancellor Khyber Medical University Professor Dr. Zia-ul-Haq congratulated the Islamic Jamiat students for organizing the book fair and described this initiative as commendable. .
Apart from book stalls, food stalls were also set up in the book fair, which was well appreciated by the attendees.
