75th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm today at Ayub Medical College.
Independence Day celebrations were held at Ayub Medical College. The special guests of the function were Dean Ayub Medical College and CEO Ayub Teaching Hospital Dr. Umer Farooq accompanied by Regional Director CPSP Abbottabad Prof. Dr. Jahangir Khan. The event was also attended by Dr. Ruqqiya Sultana, Associate Dean Research, Ayub Medical College, as well as a large number of college students and college employees, heads of all departments attended the ceremony.
Dean Ayub Medical College and CEO Ayub Teaching Hospital Dr. Umer Farooq accompanied by Regional Director CPSP Abbottabad Prof. Dr. Jahangir Khan and others held the flag hoisting ceremony at 9:30 am.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Students of Ayub Medical College performed speeches and sang songs in honor of the doctors who worked on the front line and were martyred in Corona virus. Dean Ayub Medical College and CEO Ayub Teaching Hospital addressed the function. Dr. Umer Farooq said that the independence of Pakistan is a special gift from God and this country has been achieved after many sacrifices. We should value our country and the Pakistan Army. In the end, they appreciated Dr. Umair for his efforts in organising such a wonderful event. Addressing the function, Regional Director CPSP Abbottabad Prof. Dr. Jahangir Khan said that on the day of Independence Day of Pakistan, every individual should pledge that he would thwart any conspiracy against Pakistan and its security agencies and play his full role in the development of Pakistan. The ceremony was concluded with words of prayer.
