The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Ayub Medical College successfully organized a workshop titled “Building a Culture of Quality: QEC Processes, Practices and Performance” on Tuesday, 16th December, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Conference Room of Ayub Medical College.
The workshop was designed to enhance awareness and understanding of quality assurance mechanisms in higher education and to strengthen institutional commitment towards continuous improvement and academic excellence.
The session commenced with a comprehensive presentation by Prof. Dr. Ruqqia Sultana, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, who highlighted the vision, objectives, and operational framework of the QEC. She provided an in-depth overview of the cell’s working procedures, key initiatives undertaken to improve academic quality, performance monitoring mechanisms, and the achievements accomplished over the years. Her presentation emphasized the importance of embedding quality practices into all academic and administrative processes to foster a sustainable culture of excellence.
Following the Director’s presentation, members of the QEC core team delivered detailed sessions on the preparation and documentation of Self-Assessment Reports (SARs). The participants were guided through the standards, methodologies, and best practices involved in developing effective self-assessment reports, which play a crucial role in evaluating and enhancing academic programs.
The workshop provided an interactive platform for discussion and knowledge sharing, enabling participants to gain valuable insights into quality assurance processes and their role in institutional development. Attendees actively engaged in discussions regarding quality enhancement strategies, performance indicators, and continuous improvement practices.
The event was attended by the Chairpersons, Heads of Departments, representatives from the curriculum committee, SAS, IT department and student representatives of Ayub Medical College, reflecting the institution’s collective commitment to maintaining high standards of education, research, and professional development.
The Quality Enhancement Cell reaffirmed its dedication to promoting a culture of quality across the institution and supporting departments in achieving excellence through effective quality assurance and enhancement practices.
