Ayub Medical College signs agreement on Joint Research collaboration with the Global Health Institute Xi’an Jiaotong University Xi’an China
Dr.Umer Farooq Associate Dean Ayub Medical College participated in “The Silk Road Environment, Endemic Diseases and Global Health International Forum” organized by Xi’an Jiaotong University from 11-14th May, 2017, in Xi’an.
The invited key experts and leaders from 20 institutions from 10 countries participated in the forum and reached an agreement for future collaborative research efforts
The objectives of the agreement are 1) To establish international joint laboratories for collaborative research on endemic diseases, environment and global health in the Silk Road region; 2) To develop short- and long-term joint training programs for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty members; 3) To facilitate research grant applications to support international cooperation projects; 4) To strengthen international academic communication and enhance research productivity including publishing high quality international collaboration research papers.

Dr.Umer Farooq Associate Dean Ayub Medical College Participated in the first Silk Road Environment, Endemic Diseases and Global Health International Forum, held in China from 11-14 May 2017 .Dr.Umer Presented his research about the health profile of Pakistan and research opportunities keeping in view the silk road and China Pakistan Economic Corridor . The forum appointed Dr.Umer as Advisory Committee member of the Global Health Institute for 3 years.
