On August 20, 2018, a Board of Governors meeting was held in conference room of Ayub Medical College. The meeting was chaired by Chairman BoG Gen (R) Asif. Meeting was attended by Ali Khan Jadoon, Member National Assembly, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, Speaker Provincial Assembly, KP, Dr. Azhar Khan Jadoon, Former Member of National Assembly, members of Board of Governors and media personals. A presentation was delivered regarding the developments and achievements made by the governing BoG in Ayub Teaching Hospital and Ayub Medical College.

Dr. Umer Farooq, Professor of Community Medicine has been appointed as Dean Ayub Medical College on October 12, 2018. He is an academician and a researcher with vast administrative experience. He has served in various administrative capacities and more recently held the post of Associate Dean Research.
