The first Parental Psychiatry Conference was organized in Ayub Medical College Abbottabad by Dr. Aftab Alam, Head of Department of Psychiatry, Ayub Medical College.
Psychiatrists and gynecologists from all over Pakistan participated in this symposium and gave presentations on various topics.
Dean Ayub Medical College Professor Dr. Umar Farooq, Gynecology Department of Ayub Medical College and all renowned doctors of Abbottabad also participated in the symposium, including Dr. Azizur Rehman Yousafzai, Dr. Younis Khawaja, Dr. Ahsan Aurangzeb, Dr. Ruqia Sultana, Dr. Sadia Aram, Dr. Saeed. Irfan and other doctors were involved.
Dr. Aftab Alam Khan and all doctors of psychiatry department welcomed the guests. The event was held at CPSP Hall of Ayub Medical College. The ceremony started with recitation of Holy Quran and then the National Anthem of Pakistan was presented Dr. Aftab Alam Khan welcomed all the guests Dr. Amin-ul-Rashid, Dr. Imran, Dr. Amir Mumtaz Swati. Dr. Najma started the ceremony, Dr. Anaiza Niaz presented her topic from this symposium through a video message, besides Dr. Imtiaz Dogar, Dr. Wajid Akhunzada, Dr. Mazhar Malik, Brig. Dr. Imran Khan and Dr. Bashir Ahmed gave presentations on their respective topics on parental psychiatry and answered the questions of all the doctors present in the hall.
It was a first of its kind symposium organized by Ayub Medical College’s Department of Psychiatry.
